God has opened many doors for us in 2023. We are convinced our obedient YES in 2022 to provide safe, experienced, and free coaching, consultation, and care to ministry leaders is proving effective. We want to see the ministry impact expand in 2024, and the only way this can happen is by broadening our base of prayer, awareness, and financial support. Our prayerful hopes are bold, but we have placed the following before the Lord as we finish out this calendar year.

PRAYER

We want to see this ministry soaked in prayer every day of this year. We are looking for 52 individuals or families who will commit to daily pray for one week of the year.

AWARENESS

We are hoping to get 100 new ministers signed up for Derry’s Ministry Leader Newsletter, and add 150  new subscribers to our ministry update mailing list. This will help us broaden our reach and impact even more lives.

FUNDING

We are prayerfully seeking to raise $30,000 to close 2023. This can come in the form of single gifts or in commitments for recurring gifts over the next year.

We had found ourselves in a unique yet stressful situation as our family grew but our community grew smaller. Derry and Janelle provided a trustworthy and compassionate environment that allowed both of us to intentionally consider what was more deserving of our focus: a thriving ministry or a drowning family. They were right there over the course of months. After deciding to leave our church in order to move closer to family, we find ourselves still in a season of flux, but they have encouraged us and saved us by helping with decisions that have only strengthened our family and faith in the process.

Being a part of Derry’s YML Cohort has been an incredible experience. I have been able to connect with youth pastors who get it and who are in the trenches alongside me. Our cohort was made up of youth pastors who were either new to ministry or new to a church, and it was so beneficial to connect with other Youth Pastors who were in similar situations as me. The teaching and various speakers Derry brings on are great, but the community that he helps facilitate is what makes these cohorts special. I’m thankful for this ministry giving me a space to connect, be rejuvenated, and feel a sense of family among fellow ministers.

Derry was able to facilitate two consulting sessions with some of the members of our team. These sessions were geared towards developing alignment, philosophy, and branding as it relates to short term missions at WakyMC. What resulted was a healthy plan of action to take to our Missions Management Team who ultimately continued the collaborative discussion and development of what are now Bridge Teams at WakyMC. What a blessing Derry has been to our ministry!
